Rumor: Ubuntu could become a rolling release

A
Mark Shuttleworth would like Ubuntu was more a day in these times. If this happens, we would be talking about Ubuntu could become a rolling release distribution -style Arch Linux, Gentoo or Debian testing versions .

A rolling release distribution kept up to date with the latest packages more frequently, having passing a series of tests after the departure of the package to check its stability. The downside of this is that the testing phases are usually short to have the package ready for download as soon as possible and can sometimes cause instability when system. Although this does not matter who likes to try it again as soon as possible. Another important thing is such distributions will not have to reinstall the system every 6 months (as with Ubuntu) but will be updated often.

I must say that I love this kind of distributions, is a luxury to have everything updated to the maximum in their latest stable (or unstable), especially for the theme of hardware, the latest kernels are improving support the new hardware.

If Ubuntu out of such distributions would hesitate less to install or not. Distribution is very convenient because you have everything working to install it (in most cases) and to my taste, but it is a nuisance that a few months of hitting a new version of Ubuntu has something new and we do filigree touch close at last.

We can only pray and hope for this to happen (if ever).
