sig GvSIG OA Digital Edition 2010

Digital has recently released a new modified version of the OA Digital Edition GvSIG , the 2010 1.0 so far appeared as a beta. This is a geographic information system based on version 1.10 of known gvSig (developed by the Valencian regional government), but has been adapted by OA Digital to include in a single installer some of the most interesting extensions supported program, including Sextans inevitably, while other aspects polish finish.
From our experience we found that the installation gvSIG thus becomes something really simple, and it worked perfectly on both Ubuntu and Windows, which does not always happen with the official versions of the GIS.
addition, the included extensions are the most widely used theory in archeology, because more than OA Digital maintains close links with Oxford Archaeology , and consequently with the Openarchaeology , and ultimately many of its users will be archaeologists. Both
gvSig as custom publishing now released Digital OA is a very useful software in archeology, because as GIS to view, manage, modify and analyze spatial information in the form of digital maps, remote imagery and databases interactively.
Its functionality can be extended further by adding extensions that provide new features.
Some good examples of their application archaeological begin to proliferate across the network, such as the management an archaeological excavation of archaeological heritage local or landscape archeology.
